A Drawing in Steel - Introducing the Pegoretti Elio

“Ah, niente lacci!” laughed Sandra, pointing at Elio, our most recent road racing bicycle, and the laces on her sneakers in turn. In other words, no cables, noted our friend as she ducked in through the Officina’s back door in search of a mid-morning espresso.

Internal routing, though, is just the start. Pegoretti Elio is both a new model and a long study in harmony. It took a lot of work to have it look this settled. Tapered tubes, over-oversized dimensions, rework, reverses and further iterations over several months, all in the service of speed. Speed standing still, speed on the climbs, searing on the descents. Elio is an unashamedly pure road racing bike, built to put the focus firmly on the giant climbs, switchback descents and valley-floor hustles that define a dream day of road riding.
